Baglio Siciliamo, originally an old Palmento (wine press), was built at the end of the 1700s at the behest of the provincial administrator La Rosa. It is one of only a few to be built close to the sea. Later it was given to a powerful and aristocratic family from Noto, who used it as a winery.
Over time, the building deteriorated. It was then acquired by the Accardo family, who are still the owners. They welcomed Marco and Cristina, who after a long and careful collaboration restored it to its former glory. In 2013, along with their staff, they opened “Baglio Siciliamo,” a place where time seems to stand still, where you can still feel the authentic 18th-century Sicilian atmosphere; where, without realizing it, you are immersed in scenes reminiscent of “The Leopard”.
